2024 New Student Studio Policy
Welcome to Lesson Adventures! We are very excited to get your child started on their musical journey. Thank you for the opportunity to deliver engaging and FUN music lessons to your child. We consider it a privilege to be involved in this aspect of your child’s life. Our goal is to make music lessons the best they can possibly be for all students and their families, and these policies and procedures enable us to deliver just that.
Studio Schedule
Below are the holidays that will be observed as well as the months/weeks/days that will have no lessons.
- January 2 ~ Spring semester begins
- May 27 ~ No Lessons Memorial Day
- July ~ No Lessons Summer Break (A la cart lessons available, see below)
- August 1 ~ Fall semester begins
- Sept 2 ~ No Lessons Labor Day
- November 27-29 ~ No Lessons Thanksgiving Break
- December 23 – Jan 3, 2025 ~ No Lessons Christmas Break
Note: For the month of July we will not hold weekly scheduled lessons but may offer some a la carte lessons throughout the month for those who would like to sign up.

Tuition and Payments
Tuition:
Private individual lessons are conducted on a weekly basis 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Monthly tuition is calculated by the number of scheduled studio lessons during the month. Tuition is based on enrollment not attendance. Monthly tuition is to be paid in full whether a student attends lessons or not.
Missed lessons do not reduce the monthly tuition. A student who does not attend a scheduled lesson will simply miss the benefit of that lesson. Tuition reserves a student’s time slot for the same day and time each week for scheduled lessons and includes Individualized lesson plans, detailed weekly lesson notes, studio resources, student/parent private portal, weekly interactive assignments, interactive games, technology, student progress reports, music apps for learning theory, performing, and more.
Piano private lesson rates:
- $40 for 30 minute lessons
- $60 for 45 minute lessons
- $80 for 60 minute lessons
Voice
Private Lesson Rates:
- $45 for 30 minute lessons
- $68 for 45 minute lessons
- $90 for 60 minute lessons
Audition Prep Voice Lessons
- $95 for 1 hour session
Additional Items:
- Music/method books are purchased by the student.
- A one-time $50 enrollment fee will be applied for each new student.

Payments:
Monthly tuition payments are due on the 1st of every month and will be required to be made online through my secure billing software.
Payments can be made via credit, debit or ACH withdrawal and must be set up on monthly autopay to be charged on the 1st of each month. Payments that are either declined or not made by the 5th of the month will incur a $35 late fee. If tuition is still not received by the 7th of the month, lessons will be suspended until payment is received in full. Serial late payments may result in the student(s) being dismissed from the studio.
Missed Lessons and Cancellations:
Weekly lessons are standing appointments. A student’s lesson time is reserved only for them each week and it is their responsibility to attend. Please regard the reservation of the lesson time as a serious commitment. Plan social engagements and other activities accordingly. I do not offer make-up lessons for missed or canceled lessons or student vacations.
When lessons are rescheduled because of my illness or absence I will either schedule a makeup lesson for the student as soon as my schedule allows or give a lesson credit on the following month’s tuition.
*Exceptions to my policy due to emergencies and/or extenuating circumstances will be made on a case by case basis.
Discontinuation of Lessons
To discontinue lessons the student must provide a 30 day notice to jen@lessonadventures.com. If the student does not provide proper notice, the student shall be liable for one month’s tuition in full, even if no lessons are provided during that month.
Please note that if a student chooses to quit mid-month they will forfeit all remaining lessons. No refunds on lessons forfeited.
I reserve the right to discontinue lessons for any reason. If I decide to terminate lessons, tuition will be prorated up to the last lesson taken and a refund provided, if applicable.
Acceptance of Financial Contract and Attendance Agreement
Each new student is required to read, understand, and accept these policies and acknowledge the financial responsibilities to Lesson Adventures as well as policies related to canceled/missed lessons.
