Jen Saad is a piano teacher and the founder and studio director of Lesson Adventures, a music school built on the belief that quality music education should be accessible, flexible, and inspiring.

Her journey with music began at the piano at age five, where she was classically trained and developed a lifelong passion for teaching. Fifteen years ago, Jen began her career as a piano instructor, building what started as a small studio into a thriving program.

In 2020, Jen shifted her in-person studio to a fully virtual format. By doing so, she expanded her reach to students across the country and perfected the art of online teaching. Using innovative platforms and interactive tools, she created a dynamic and engaging online classroom that kept students motivated and connected. Over the years, Jen has taught piano to well over 100 students from Washington state to North Carolina, positioning herself as a highly experienced and respected online instructor.

By 2024, her vision grew into Lesson Adventures—a school dedicated not only to serving students but also to empowering independent music instructors. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar schools, Lesson Adventures operates as a modern, partnership-based studio. Independent instructors are free to focus on what they love most—teaching—while Lesson Adventures manages scheduling, billing, and administration. This approach allows teachers to thrive and students to receive the highest quality education, whether in their own home, in a teacher’s home studio, or online.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University and brings a strong background in marketing and entrepreneurship to her role as a leader in music education. Her mission is simple: to provide outstanding instruction, foster meaningful connections between teachers and students, and expand the joy of music to families everywhere.

Our son is enjoying piano so much since starting lessons with Ms. Jen. He looks forward to the lessons every week and also looks forward to practicing for fun. I’ve never seen him just sit down and play as much as he does now. The way she teaches keeps him engaged the whole time. She guides him in a kind and respectful way through new skills and songs. I was very skeptical at first about the virtual component, but it is honestly going better than other in person lessons we tried. His confidence has bloomed! Coach Jodi Howe has brought me from almost no experience in singing to helping me get to a level i didn't think was capable with my abilities! We have been taking piano lessons from Jen for a decade now, first in-person and then switching to online. She has fostered a love of music in both of my girls and my older daughter will be continuing her music career by majoring in music education in the fall. Mrs. Jen is FANTASTIC! My daughter (9) was ready to quit piano after 2 years of lessons with an ‘in person’ teacher. Her former teacher was overly critical and left her constantly anxious over lessons. After one virtual lesson with Mrs. Jen, my daughter was loving piano again! And virtual lessons are perfect. The convenience for one, but my daughter also really loves getting to play on her own piano. She is more comfortable and relaxed during lessons, which has lead to her retaining so much more. And Mrs Jen has a fabulous ear and immediately can tell when my daughter is on the wrong key. I had reservations on how virtual would work, but it has been nothing but a great experience. Coach Jodi Howe is an excellent vocal coach. She totally relates to the challenges of singers, because she is also a professional vocalist. She has great understanding and compassion for performers. Her technique is wonderful. My voice has greatly improved within just weeks of working with Jodi. Her approach is positive, supportive, and very honest. My 11 year old has been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Jen for a little over a year. I can’t express how wonderful, and gifted she is. Caleb has grown so much and his love and desire for piano grows with each lesson. Mrs. Jen encourages, and teaches with such joy, my child is always left with a huge smile. My daughter takes online lessons from Jen. She has been progressing quickly with Jen’s effective teaching method. If there’s anything that Covid taught us it’s that learning can take place when the teacher and student build rapport and respect. Jen does that with Lydia every week, being sure to ask her what her week has been like and what there is to look forward to. In addition to piano skills this is helping her build social skills in a world that will lean into online connections more and more as our community is globalized. As a parent, I love that we don’t have to drive to lessons and that I can make supper while Lydia serenades me in her lessons. I wish that I could give Miss Jen more than 5 stars because she is that good. She has been teaching my 6yo, with no previous piano lessons, piano for about 6 months. He loves every lesson and has learned so much. She is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at teaching piano to kids in a way that is fun and easy to grasp. Her expertise is matched with her energetic and always upbeat attitude. My son can be hard on himself, so her encouraging spirit helps him really love learning piano. Ms. Jen is a great piano teacher, who is patient, kind, funny and passionate about teaching her students, especially my daughter. She’s been my daughter’s piano teacher for over 8 years! My daughter has made great progress with Ms. Jen as her teacher and exceeded our expectations. My daughter connected with her warmth and her consistent positive approach. Her commitment to her students is very evident. I highly recommend Ms. Jen as a teacher to any child who wishes to learn piano.
